In our role on this new build project, we were intricately involved in selecting the colors and specifications for both the internal and external finishes, with a focus on creating an ideal retreat by the beach. Our design aimed to capture the essence of a perfect holiday home, balancing aesthetic appeal with functionality. For the internal finishes, we curated a soothing palette of coastal-inspired hues and durable materials that evoke relaxation and comfort. Externally, we chose finishes that harmonize with the seaside environment, ensuring resilience against coastal elements while enhancing visual charm. Each decision was made with the intent to craft a serene and inviting atmosphere, making the property an exquisite escape for leisure and relaxation.
Elevating Design with Feature Tiles: A Contemporary Approach to Statement Pieces.
In contemporary design, utilizing feature tiles to highlight a statement piece offers a sophisticated approach to elevating spaces such as bathrooms, powder rooms, ensuites, and splashbacks. This technique not only draws attention to the focal point of the room but also enhances the overall aesthetic. For instance, you will see in this project, by incorporating turquoise subway tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern introduces a vibrant yet elegant touch, creating a dynamic visual effect. This thoughtful combination of colour and pattern infuses the space with personality while maintaining a cohesive and stylish look, demonstrating the impactful role that feature tiles can play in modern interior design.
