Wellington's latest luxury hotel, TRYP by Wyndham Tory St, opened to guests early 2023.
Staying true to its Art Deco roots, and with a nod to Old Chicago, Tryp is located in the heart of the entertainment district, on Tory St. This fully renovated Heritage listed building features 77 rooms - a mix of hotel rooms, studio apartments and the largest luxury penthouse in central Wellington.
Working in collaboration with Safari Group, Franklins is delighted to be a part of this remarkable project. We take pride in providing the finishing touch to the luxurious bathrooms, showcasing our exquisite range of European bathroomware.
In perfect harmony with the Art Deco theme, the kitchens and bathrooms have been adorned with Framo traditional tapware, exuding an elegant charm that complements the overall aesthetic. Moreover, our selection includes a tasteful fusion of classic and contemporary elements, such as modern vanities and mirrors, adding a touch of timeless sophistication to the space.
At Franklins, we understand the importance of attention to detail and strive to offer the finest quality products that not only enhance the visual appeal but also ensure functionality and durability. We are thrilled to have contributed to this project, creating spaces that exude both opulence and practicality.

Inspiration was taken from the Art Deco era and the clean lines of the Chicago Style architecture of the building. The restoration of the 1930’s building was a natural fit with this style and surrounding historic buildings that enhance their individual historic character in a special way.
Our family has provided premium bathroomware for New Zealand architects, homeowners, developers, builders, and plumbers for over 65 years.
This experience has shown us the lasting legacy of quality. From the durability and safety that comes from high quality base materials, to the superior functionality of German engineering. From the time-consuming hand-crafted finishes passed down through generations of family artisans, to the sustainable practices that underpin many of our European manufacturers.
It’s not just the aesthetics and performance of our products that stands up to your scrutiny, it’s also the accountability that comes from being a family business. We value that many of our manufacturers are also family businesses just like ours, and that we share a common goal to create a continuing legacy of lasting quality, with integrity, to all of our customers.
