Two Trees: A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Modern Architecture in Northbridge, NSW
Project Overview: "Two Trees" is a luxurious new residence in Northbridge, New South Wales, designed by renowned architect Jorge Hrdina. This unique property features two pavilions clad in Hurford’s Shou Sugi Ban charred timber, representing the native bushland across the road and seamlessly blending with its natural surroundings.
Design Concept: The name "Two Trees" reflects the residence’s two distinct pavilions, each covered in charred Australian Native Timber. This design honors the local environment and creates a striking visual impact. The cladding, a product of the ancient Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also improves the durability and fire resistance of the timber.
Materials and Application:
The charred Callitris timber features a deep, rich charcoal color with a unique textured finish. This sustainable and resilient material ensures long-lasting protection and adds a sophisticated touch to the residence.
