Innovative office fitout for Warren & Mahoney featuring striking gold tinted glass and high-performance sliding doors, located in the Mason Building, Auckland, completed in 2016 by Alaska Construction.
LOCATION: Mason Building, North Wharf, Auckland
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY: Alaska Construction
COMPLETED: 2016
Working with Architects everyday is what we do, however having the privilege to work on an architects own project (new offices) is special. The designers get the opportunity to experiment on materials and details that they have yet to test on clients, Woods Glass get the opportunity to show what we are capable of delivering.
One of the most striking features of this new fitout located in the Mason Building in the new office location in the Auckland Tank Farm district is the gold tinted glass that ribbons down the shared entry space and encloses their upper offices. the gold glass reflects on the restored brickwork and the brick work reflects onto the gold glass - from within the space the VLT reduction works well to reduce the glare that the designers may otherwise have been exposed to.
Woods Glass also provided the many other glass elements within the new space - large (400 kg) manually operated sliding glass doors that can be operated with the effort of one finger, glass balustrades and large format total glazed glass with glazed structural fins.
Products: Speciality gold glass, internal partitions, high performance sliding doors, balustrades
