A comprehensive renovation of a 1970s home, transforming it into a modern four-bedroom residence with updated kitchens and bathrooms, enhanced living spaces, and stylish design elements, completed in 2024.

Originally built in the 1970s, this home was meticulously cared for but had a dated interior. The owners purchased the house while overseas and entrusted RenoMasters to transform it before their return to New Zealand. This four-bedroom, one-bathroom home has now been completely transformed, with no corner left untouched.

The kitchen has been refitted, with new paint, windows, flooring, and appliances throughout. A new bathroom has been added, and the downstairs floor was reconfigured to include a new guest bedroom and an office. Additionally, the rest of the downstairs space has been converted into a games room/social space, featuring a built-in bar and storage.

Two new bathrooms have been completed with underfloor heating, high-tech toilets, tiled showers, and new fittings and fixtures. Upstairs, all bedrooms were gutted, repainted, and fitted with new carpet and curtains, as well as full insulation and double glazing. Storage space was maximized with personalized built-in wardrobes in each bedroom.

The kitchen is the focal point of this renovation. Fishscale tiles and turquoise paint catch your eye as soon as you enter. A large breakfast bar makes excellent use of the space, and a walk-in pantry/coffee station is a great addition for hidden storage.

Professional Reviews

“When Andrew and the team at RenoMasters began the renovations at my property, I could instantly see what a streamlined and stress-free process this job was going to be. I had been putting off the much-needed maintenance on my wooden villa as I just didn’t quite know where to start. Andrew made it easy by assessing the work and prioritising the jobs to fit within my budget and timeframe. He liaised with the electrician and painters and I’ve been constantly kept up-to-date. His communication, transparent process and ‘let’s get this done’ attitude has been just what I needed.”
