A partnership spanning more than a decade, delivering blue-sky thinking and boots-on-the-ground branch refits.

We have been Westpac’s lead design-consultant since 2006. The relationship has gone from strength to strength, from an initial branch to leading a customer focused transformation of the Australasian property network.

Today we work as partners. Our role spans the design, delivery and roll-out of Westpac’s national retail and property network; some 200-plus branches, and offices for more than 5,000 staff. We’ve helped reduce costs and increase efficiencies ensuring the Westpac brand is expressed consistently throughout its network. Our role is to inspire with design advice on future trends.

We transformed the face of banking throughout Australasia reducing the footprint of retail sites from 500 sqm grand edifices to more nimble, technology-enabled, customer focused and sustainable 150 sqm sites.

This close working relationship has helped hone a methodology that delivers throughout New Zealand. We work as an extended team on consents, procurement and on-site project management. The buck stops with us, and our architects are on call during fit-outs. It can mean long hours and dust-reddened eyes but we see it as part of what it means to truly partner with clients.
