It might have a small footprint, but this house has a big personality.
Made for entertaining therefore moving from the open-plan kitchen, dining and living zones to the outdoor areas needed to be easy and intuitive. The design comes into play strongly when working in more compact spaces as everything needs to be functional whilst not feeling “jammed in”.
The clients requested a two-bedroom cottage-style house with outdoor living on their compact site. This 156sqm weatherboard property is the result of our plan, along with the architect, to achieve that goal. Our innovations included higher-than-standard-stud ceilings and light colours to give the illusion of a grand and luxurious space.
