Some say, the best place to store (or hide) your garden tool is your shed… that’s if you have a shed at all. If you have a small garden, it can get tricky.

Perhaps it’s time to rethink your garden storage solution.

Here are some tips that you may find useful:

  • Use stylish shelving to create visual interest that is handy for storing small items like trowels, twine and watering cans.
  • A small, narrow shed is perfect for storing larger gardening tools. You could even make it a garden feature by painting it or covering it with climbing plants.
  • For gardens lacking in space, invest in furniture that can also be used as storage.
  • Add some hooks to your wall or a wooden trellis for a makeshift garden tool hanger.
  • Crates, baskets and old pallets can be great for storing those smaller, everyday gardening items.
  • Upcycle your unwanted furniture – a chest of drawers or an old writing desk could be perfect for storing a whole host of items. It also provides an extra surface for growing potted plants.
