With five gorgeous, nature-inspired colours in the new Fienza collection, designers and homeowners are spoilt for choice when it comes to basins and baths.

Take one look at recent interior trends and you’ll notice that bold pops, splashes, and combinations of colour are everywhere. Once reserved for a throw blanket, feature wall, or statement rug, designers and homeowners alike are now opting for more permanent colourful features in traditionally neutral spaces. Of course, not every space calls for vibrant hues — a fact this trend respects. The result is a perfect balance of coloured fixtures and monochromatic pieces that have ventured away from the white porcelain of old towards a new era of interesting textures and eye-catching material palettes.

Fienza’s new range of coloured concrete basins and baths are made for this trend. Their selection of five colours — Warm Grey, Warm White, Terrazzo, Tuscan, and Sage — straddle both sides of the fence.

“We wanted to offer visually striking pieces that bring a natural, rich and earthy feel to any space,” says Taylor Nucifora-Bhalla of Fienza.

Meet the new concrete colours

The new concrete colours collection is available across a range of Fienza basin styles. Choose from all five colours in their Blanca Wall Basins, Jada Pill Above Counter Basins, and Jada Round Above Counter Basins; select the Valentina Wall Basins or Alba Above Counter Basins in Warm Grey, Warm White, Tuscan, and Sage. The Jada Freestanding Baths, available in Warm Grey, Warm White, Tuscan, and Sage, can also be styled to match.

How the coloured concrete range comes to life in the home

While you could easily slide one of Fienza’s basins or baths into almost any bathroom or kitchen design, Taylor says the pieces are particularly suited to minimalist, rustic, industrial, and eclectic styles.

Defined by clean lines, refined ornamentation, and simple or neutral material palettes, minimalism has been a staple in the design playbook for years. This less-is-more approach to interiors does not equal boring, though. Rather, each element of the design is carefully considered and chosen for its necessity, function, and tastefully restrained aesthetic. Whether you’ve opted for a neutral palette or one with a few colourful accents, the Fienza concrete colours will fit seamlessly into your minimalist bathroom or kitchen. The elegant curves and lines of the Jada Pill and Jada Round basins are ArchiPro’s pick for this style.

Taking cues from farmhouses and cabins, rustic interior design focuses on natural materials that seem as if they were plucked straight from the land, with no factory in sight. While the reality is most materials in rustic spaces do see the business end of a workshop or design studio, the goal is to create a space that connects with the outdoors in a warm and inviting way. Fienza’s concrete colours, inspired by hues found in nature, achieve just that. Coupled with the earthy texture of the concrete finish, the basins and baths are a must-have for rustic rooms. The Alba Round basin, with its unique variation in patina, surface texture, colour, and fleck, is an ArchiPro favourite.

Concrete is commonly associated with industrial design, so it’s no wonder the concrete colours range is ideal for this style. Inspired by the raw features of old factories and commercial buildings, this design style tends to lean towards exposed brick and concrete, timber or steel beams and pipes, and large Crittall windows. All of the Fienza concrete basins and baths would shine in an industrial bathroom or kitchen, but ArchiPro’s favourite has to be the Blanca Wall Basin in either Warm Grey or Terrazzo.

The pioneer of the aforementioned colour trend, eclectic interior design is the thoughtful combination of a variety of design styles, eras, materials, and contrasting colours to achieve a cohesive, visually dynamic space. To perfect this style one must be brave, experimental, and have a good eye. If you love this design approach but worry you might lack the eye for it, fear not — the ultimate rule of eclecticism is playfulness. With its unique textural design, Fienza’s Valentina Fluted Arch Wall Basin is ideal for eclectic spaces. Choose from Warm Grey, Warm White, Tuscan, or Sage and watch your eclectic bathroom or kitchen come to life.
