The team at GKD G&K Decorating in Auckland share six tips for selecting the best commercial painter for executing larger scale projects to a high standard and quality finish.
1. Quality Internal Painting, Project & Administration Team
Select a commercial painting decorating company that has experienced commercial painters, alongside quality administration, project, and site management staff. This will ensure quality communication and execution along all stages of the commercial paint project.
2. Strong Sub Contractor Connections
Select a commercial painting decorating company that holds strong subcontractor connections. This means they will have more human resource to lean on across painting and also other related trades to fully meet the scope of work, meet deadlines and expand the team when necessary for larger scale, more specialised, or time constraints become involved.
3. Willing to Share their Knowledge
Select a commercial painting decorating company that has extensive decorating knowledge. This means they can not only get the job done with a quality finish, but give advice and make suggestions where needed to execute the exact finish you’re looking for within your budget and time frame.
4. Commercial Paint Project Experience
Select a commercial painting decorating company that has a wide scope of commercial paint project experience. There are big differences between small commercial and large scale commercial paint projects, and there are even bigger differences when compared to residential and service maintenance jobs. You want a painter who has worked in a wide range of commercial projects whether it’s commercial retail fit-out, offices and meeting rooms, waiting rooms and practices, hospitality, and more.
5. Ability to work under pressure
Select a commercial painting decorating company that can work well under pressure and on jobs with time constraints. It’s one thing being able to produce a quality paint finish, it’s a whole other ball game being able to produce a quality finish with tight time constraints.
6. Robust Systems
Select a commercial painting decorating company that has good systems and system staff in place. This will enable your painters to work in with your deadline, other trades, and all parties involved to execute the job as smoothly and stress free as possible.
