Background & Challenge

Herschel Infrared were chosen to heat a Sustainable Pottery & Garden Studio that is environmentally sensitive. With 70m² of high-ceilings and minimal interior walls, this studio required a heating system that could deliver rapid, efficient warmth without sacrificing style or space.

Herschel’s Solution

Heat should be felt before it is seen, a notion Herschel pursues with active energy and passive design. Seamless ceiling-mounted heaters were the optimal choice for this property with Herschel Infrared panels, all providing slimline integration, maximised floor space, and cosy radiant warmth.

Imagine entering a room with no loud gusts or clunky machinery in sight—Herschel’s radiant heating delivers seamless comfort while enhancing sleek, modern architecture.

We chose Herschel ceiling-mounted infrared heaters because they’re ideal for how the studio is used. In pottery, the temperature and direction of heat are crucial, as uneven heat can affect how clay dries. Ceiling-mounted heaters create a consistent, balanced warmth throughout the space while keeping the walls free for storage and displaying work.

Sustainability & Performance

The studio’s design was both aesthetically refined and environmentally responsible, incorporating natural timber and eco-friendly insulation to create an ideal interior for living and working. Herschel’s heaters fall smoothly into these categories with their slimline composition and highly sustainable technology. Provided infrared heating, this green-build can stay comfortably warm with renewable power for net zero heating. Infrared panels save energy by heating objects in a room rather than the atmosphere; why heat weightless air that quickly escapes when solid forms hold and radiate warmth back?

Conclusion

Effective and efficient heat is more prevalent now with the high pressure of modern living. The Sustainable Studio perfectly demonstrates Herschel providing reliable radiant heat, the security all environments flourish under no matter the season.

Benefits of Infrared Panels

Infrared heating panels offer a wide range of benefits, making them an efficient and sustainable choice for modern homes.

Reduced Energy Use
Infrared panels save energy by heating the objects in a room rather than the air. With panel heaters, you are also able to control each room individually. This means you can heat precisely where you want, when occupied, and save energy heating rooms used infrequently.

Mould and Condensation Prevention
As infrared heats objects directly, the relative humidity levels in the air remain low, so when air meets a warm surface, condensation doesn’t occur. This prevents the likelihood of damp and mould issues occuring in your home.

Easy to Install
Infrared panels can be easily and quickly installed by any qualified electrician. We also offer DIY-friendly options that can be wall-mounted and plugged into a mains power socket.

Zero Servicing
Once installed, infrared heaters do not require any servicing saving money on scheduled annual maintenance requirements. Our panel heaters come with a 5-10 year warranty and are highly repairable.

Beautiful Finishes For Your Home
Herschel infrared panel heaters are available in a range of finishes to match your home’s interior. Whether you are looking for a dual purpose mirror or towel heater for the bathroom, a statement picture panel for the dining room or discreet white panels to blend into the ceiling, Herschel offers a range of space-saving designs to warm your home beautifully.

Herschel Infrared is better for you, for your homes, for our planet.
