The weather is slowly (albeit slightly inconsistently!) warming up which has provided us with an ideal setting for the construction of the second storey of Mackit Habitat. Not only will the second storey capture the beautiful view to the Tararua ranges, it will provide a private master bedroom retreat with ensuite and walk in wardrobe, away from the downstairs spaces. A large picture window with built in window seat will be another amazing feature of this room.

From West Street, the second storey framing can be seen rising up out of the trees and we are getting a real feel of just how beautifully nestled within its site the dwelling is, amongst the established trees and neighbouring gardens. Not only does the site feel alive with building activity but also with stunning Tui song and busy bees! The roof framing is well underway and we are looking forward to the next milestone of roof cladding in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out our latest progress photos below for a pictorial update!

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
