Capral AGS 900 Powered by VOLTA

The Capral AGS 900 Powered by VOLTA combines Capral’s established AGS Commercial 900 aluminium sliding-door platform with CiiLOCK Engineering’s concealed VOLTA power-assist technology.

Designed for premium residential, accessible-living, aged-care and disability-inclusive applications, the system significantly reduces the effort required to move large sliding panels while retaining the familiar operation of a conventional sliding door.

Inspired by automotive power steering, VOLTA assists the user rather than taking control of the door. A light push or pull activates the powered assistance; when the user stops, VOLTA stops. There are no preset opening distances or automatic closing cycles—the door simply feels easier to move.

Concealed technology

The VOLTA motor and drive system are concealed within the bottom of the door, avoiding bulky overhead operators or visible automation equipment. The system supports panels up to 250 kg in approved configurations, includes automatic battery charging and remains manually operable if powered assistance is unavailable.

Manufactured like a sliding door

Unlike conventional automatic-door systems, a VOLTA-equipped AGS 900 can be manufactured and installed by suitably equipped window and door fabricators.
VOLTA is integrated into the normal door fabrication process, allowing architects and builders to retain familiar aluminium-door construction, installation methods and hardware arrangements without requiring a specialist automation company to manufacture the door.

Proven Capral platform

The Capral AGS Commercial 900 provides the aluminium framing platform, with established technical documentation, WERS-rated configurations, acoustic performance data, BAL-40 testing and standard or selected zero-threshold sill options.
VOLTA Power Assist Rollers are an officially supported option within the AGS 900 system.

Accessibility

VOLTA reduces the physical effort required to operate a large sliding door while retaining familiar push-or-pull control.
This makes the system particularly relevant to accessible housing, aged care, Specialist Disability Accommodation and disability-inclusive residential design.
Compliance with SDA, NCC, AS 1428 or other accessibility requirements applies to the complete doorway and project configuration.
