A wider backset version of the HB2010 the HB2020 is designed as a stand alone lock on sliding doors, with your choice of handles, on timber or aluminium.

The HB2020 PZW is a 55mm backset sliding door lock that can be used as a stand alone locking bolt where flush or projecting pull handles are used on sliding doors.

The HB2020 with two prong locking claws is specifically designed for sliding doors, however the sister product, the HB2025 utilises the same case dimensions but with a deadbolt suitable for hinge, bi-fold, or pivot doors.

Escutcheons and cylinder sold separately. Cylinder length required will depend on door thickness.

Scope of use
  • The HB2020 is intended for sliding doors (timber or aluminium) where a mortice-lock type locking mechanism is required. 
    • It is suitable as a stand-alone lock body, to be used in conjunction with separate handles or pulls — either flush-pulls or projecting pull handles. 
    • Designed for doors where a 55 mm backset is preferred or required (i.e., the lock case sits deeper into the door edge compared to narrower backset locks). 
    • Useful when two-prong locking claws (rather than a deadbolt) are desirable — suitable for sliding panels that overlap or meet, providing better engagement than a standard latch. 
    • Applicable in both residential and commercial projects, where durability (diecast zinc + brass construction) and reliability in a sliding-door context are required. 
    • Works well in installations where designers or fabricators want a recessed or minimal-profile locking solution, especially for flush-pull hardware configurations.
