To cater to the growing demand for stylish European styled shutters at more affordable prices, Window Treatments researched extensively to find imported products to meet our stringent quality controls. We discovered excellent quality Basswood shutters from highly reliable manufacturers off-shore and we now import these directly and pass on substantial savings to our customers.

The Basswood timber is sourced from managed sustainable forests. It has consistent colour and grain characteristics, is very stable and is used throughout the world for blinds, shutters and joinery products.

Basswood shutters provide heat insulation during the winter months and adjustable light and privacy control all year round. Shutters create a timeless style and appeal admired by many and they open an exciting new dimension to the interior design of any living space.

Folding and sliding shutters between rooms can be opened to link and adapt spaces or enhance a terrace access adding to the practicality and mood of any interior.

The new Concealed Tilt Mechanism has been developed recently which allows the rack & pinion tilt mechanism to be completely hidden inside one of the stiles. This creates a very clean, minimalistic appearance and is particularly suited when the tilting of the shutters is motorised.

Shutters can be manufactured to virtually any shape and size. Our Basswood shutters come in a wide range of standard stain and painted colour options, or painted to the colour of your choice.
