Helen Baumann Design

As an experienced kitchen designer I like to understand how a family use the space before I customise the design to suit their lifestyle. - Helen Baumann

When planning a kitchen renovation it is firstly a spacial planning exercise. It’s important to look at the structural limitations before concept layouts can be made for your new house design & kitchen renovation. Once the space is planned by a kitchen designer you can start to develop elevations & visualize details with a selection of materials.

A great kitchen designer plans a kitchen that compliments the natural flow of your family home. The kitchen design should also allow for easy entertaining. The kitchen is the heart of the family home where people eat & drink, talk & celebrate.

A successful kitchen design should firstly be practical to work in with well positioned work zones for preparation, cleaning, cooking & storage. A kitchen also needs to reflect the personality of the home owner.

Initial Consultation
The design service begins with measuring up, sketching & photographing each space to determine existing layouts, services & structural limitations. Together we will establish a design brief, scope of works, budget & timetable based on your requirements.

Design Stage
Preliminary concept designs will be presented as per the design brief. The specification list will be discussed including fixtures & fittings. Designs may be developed based on any questions that arise. The presentation of 3D Computer visuals will really help with choosing colour combinations, flooring materials & finishes. Various options will be presented.

The final design package will include plans & a set of working AutoCAD A3 drawings. You will also receive a final specification list to assist in obtaining building quotes.

A stunning lineup of kitchens and bathrooms vied for State and National titles in the organisation’s fourteenth annual celebration.

One striking kitchen earned a Sydney designer two impressive titles. Helen Baumann (Helen Baumann Design) won the State title of KBDi Kitchen Designer of the Year 2022 – NSW, along with the highly coveted national award of KBDi Australian Certified Designer of the Year 2022.

The Northern Beaches-based designer was honoured to accept the industry group’s highest accolade.
