Kingpost Timberworks is a small company designing and producing fine, handmade timber furniture and products for clients throughout Auckland and New Zealand. Joey Chalk custom creates timber furniture and fittings and specialises in the design and build of plywood kitchens and bathrooms. 

“We have a passion for honest craftsmanship. Wherever possible, everything is made in a traditional way. That is no nails or screws, but proper interlocking joinery, wedges and glue.”

Traditional woodworking craftsman Joey Chalk heads the two-person manufacturing operation from his Wellsford workshop. We design and make what you can’t find elsewhere; custom made entertainment units, bookcases, dining tables, wardrobes, sideboards, rocking chairs, jewellery boxes, toys - whatever you need; we can make it.
