In the last ten years, TMCo’s collaborative 75-strong team (Queenstown, Christchurch and Auckland) have engineered $2bn in a retirement village and aged care projects throughout NZ

TMCo has completed the structural, civil, infrastructure, fire, energy, passive fire, fire protection and the full building services engineering packages over hundreds of projects.

A commitment to reducing build costs and streamlining the construction process whilst making sure the facilities feel and look like sanctuaries have seen TMCo re-engaged over many of these projects.

Sites are varied and typically consist of villas, apartments, assisted living and dementia care suites, respite, palliative, hospital, pool, social activity, hairdressing, library, movie theatre, lodges, commercial kitchens and laundering, etc. Energy modelling for thermal performance and plant size reduction has been successful in reducing capex and opex. Fully detailed 3D BIM modelling and clash detection has made construction readily buildable.
