The project began with a clear and confident brief, to design a family home that carries the scale and presence of Dubai architecture while remaining grounded in the warmth, refinement and detail that define the Sici ethos. The clients placed full trust in the studio, offering complete creative freedom.

The interiors support both large-scale living and quieter private moments. Expansive shared spaces are paired with calm zones of retreat, and careful planning ensures the home feels intuitive to move through despite its size. A powerful yet balanced palette underpins the residence. Dramatic natural stone, steel detailing, warm timbers and soft renders are layered to create depth without excess, each selected to respond to Dubai's light and climate.

The feeling of Al Barari Residence will be powerful yet peaceful. In every space, dramatic architecture meets warm, grounding materiality, capturing the feeling of a private luxury retreat, with the softness and comfort of home.

Stone and steel define the project. Monumental stone forms carry across walls, transitions and feature elements, while steel detailing introduces structure and contrast. The kitchen is conceived as a sculptural, stone-anchored centrepiece, designed to accommodate large gatherings as well as daily family life. Living and dining spaces are generous in scale and grounded in stone, steel and warm finishes, while the bathrooms are rich in stone and highly detailed, immersive spaces that feel substantial, refined and enduring. A wellness area featuring an expansive gym, hot and cold plunge, sauna and steam room offers a private sanctuary in which to restore, recover and retreat.
