A Modern Upgrade with a Statement Finish
As part of a stunning architectural renovation in Westmorland, DMC Projects partnered with Windsor Doors to enhance the exterior of the Armstrong Residence with a sleek, modern garage door that complements the home’s refreshed design.
The chosen solution—a Smooth Panel Sectional Door in Colorsteel® Ironsand—was selected to match the new exterior materials, including Celcrete-rendered plaster and stone features. The Ironsand colour provides a deep, contemporary contrast to the lighter façade tones, grounding the front elevation and tying in with dark window joinery and roofing elements.
The garage door plays a crucial role in the updated street appeal. Its minimalist smooth panel design aligns with the clean architectural lines of the home, offering a visually cohesive and low-maintenance finish. Beyond aesthetics, the Sectional Door offers reliable performance and insulation which ideal for the Christchurch climate.
Garage doors are often one of the most prominent elements on a home's façade. In this project, the careful selection of material, profile and colour ensured the door became an intentional design feature rather than an afterthought.
