Project team
Avenal Homestead is an iconic Invercargill landmark that has been serving customers for many decades.
When Invercargill Licensing Trust closed it in June 2019 so a complete refurbishment could be undertaken, in addition to upgrading one of their main goals was to create a "family restaurant" - a place suitable to take children to. To achieve this, a large dedicated children's play area was incorporated into the design.
It was re-opened in December 2019 and now includes two venues: The Homestead Restaurant and The Ave Sports Bar
