A modern, sustainable development providing 46 homes to people on the Victorian Housing Register.
For this commercial development in Balaclava, we have designed rooftop community gardens that are accessible to all and will provide residents with the opportunity to have a garden and grow their own produce. On the ground, we have designed public open space with accessible pathways, ample bike storage and habitat gardens. There are some established Eucalypts on site that will be protected throughout the development. We have also proposed a variety of nesting boxes be installed in these trees.
This project is being led by HousingFirst as Trustee for the Port Phillip Housing Trust, in collaboration with the City of Port Phillip and the Victorian State Government.
