Extensive remodel and extension of a Bayside residence, enhancing indoor-outdoor living with natural materials and a sculptural staircase, creating a timeless family home in Beaumaris, VIC.
Located just off Beach Road, we were briefed by our clients to extensively remodel and extend this existing Bayside residence to accommodate a growing family, in order to create their forever home.
Working with the existing structure where possible, we looked to optimise the layout of the home, whilst adding invaluable space to the main kitchen, formal dining and living space, seamlessly flowing out to the al fresco dining and pool area beyond. Blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living for this coastal family home.
To create a calm backdrop for everyday family life, a restrained palette of natural materials are proposed, including soft polished plaster walls, exposed aggregate concrete floors and striking, bespoke marble pieces throughout, embedding a sense of timelessness. A sculptural curved stair draws natural light into the centre of the home via a circular skylight above, enhancing the once dark circulation space.
