Nestled in the heart of Black Rock, just off the hustle of Balcombe Road, this extensive renovation project consists of an internal and external remodel of a former brick commercial building to create a coastal residence for our clients. Set over two levels, part of the brief was to celebrate the buildings commercial past, exposing the existing brickwork walls and vaulted ceilings to maximise the sense of light and space.

A fully retractable steel window is proposed in the main living area, capturing views across the bay whilst adhering to planning controls. A custom stainless steel island in the kitchen area slides open to reveal the concealed hob and working surface beneath. A bespoke, climate controlled wine cellar and butlers pantry optimises storage space in the kitchen, and provides the perfect backdrop to entertain.

The addition of a large, north facing roof terrace creates a sun-drenched space to soak up the coastal views and the spectacular evening sunsets across the bay.
