Brisbane, QLD
HSPC have had the privilege to be the chosen architects to work on the $21m expansion in Brisbane, QLD.
The redevelopment will include a new purpose-built women’s centre that will treat patients affected by perinatal mood disorders, along with a new adolescent mental health ward.
The expansion will include a new six-level building with two storeys dedicated to hospital wards, three to car parking and one to one consulting suites, along with a refurbishment of the current wards. The total number of beds will boost to 185 – an increase by 35 beds. The expansion will turn the facility into not just the largest private mental health facility in Queensland, but the second largest in Australia overall.
Operator, Healthecare says this will alleviate service gaps within the region while supporting early intervention.
HPSC have just commenced construction works and are due to reach completion by mid-2022.
