BHP Architects specialises and pioneered many education architecture projects since the Practice was founded in 1980.
BHP Architects initially had some straightforward furniture requirements for their new offices in Guernsey’s St. Peter Port, but ended up with a pioneering furniture solution that has radically improved their way of working, increased productivity and improved employee well-being.
Having already designed the layout for their new offices at No.1 Le Truchot in St Peter Port, BHP approached design and build firm POS Interiors in the knowledge that they knew exactly what they required to furnish their new offices. Following initial discussions, POS invited the client to their showroom to view a range of products and working practices, to fine-tune their requirements.
Once the client had visited the showroom and been demonstrated the very latest furniture and working trends, their thinking changed and they left in no doubt that sit/stand desking was the ideal solution for their new offices.
The showroom visits coincided with POS’s Channel Island launch of the HÅG Capisco task chair - with its elegant curves and a distinct shape, the HÅG Capisco’s unique design and flexible height ranges make it the ideal choice for use with sit/stand desking – once viewed, the client knew immediately that this was the chair for them.
Following the order, the furniture was delivered and installed on time and to fit in with the clients planned move-in date. Post installation, the client’s feedback for the furniture supplied and the new ways in which it has enabled their business to function, not to mention the associated health benefits and increased productivity levels, has been resoundingly positive – a great testament to both the design and quality of these unique products.
"Bhp’s recent move to new offices at No.1 Le Truchot, coupled with the launch of our new branding, presented an opportunity to create a flexible, collaborative working environment to reflect the dynamism and breadth of experience within the company. The pieces POS delivered have exceeded our expectations in terms of function and quality, and have helped us to instigate a lively, open workplace with a number of different settings, whilst providing us with flexibility on both budget and aesthetics." - BHP ARCHITECTS
