Corporate Design Interiors - Sydney - 350 sqm

Located within the iconic Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo, Blis Media is a growing company with a fun and vibrant work culture. A modern workplace design was needed to provide staff with a variety of settings to engage with colleagues and customers. The space was designed to be flexible and grow along with the business and has become integral to developing and attracting talented employees.

Cradle were engaged by Blis to develop a master plan for their new Sydney office, as well as establish a budget and program for the staged development. Cradle completed the corporate design strategy and tender documentation, ran tenders for the selection of a head contractor and coordinated all the furniture for this project. Builder, Project One worked closely with Cradle in the completion of this corporate workplace design.

The client required the workplace interior architecture to accommodate their current 15 employees, but would also be flexible enough to hold up to 30 staff comfortably at any one time. The corporate design interiors were to include both casual and formal meeting rooms with sitting and standing capability, whilst also providing a multifunctional space that could be used as a central meeting point or entertainment area for all employees.

The materials were chosen for their durability and aesthetic qualities, especially around the bar and kitchen area. Simple warm materials, stylish stools and a bar to gather around was of the utmost importance to Blis. Cradle also provided an eclectic mix of movable tables and seating to accommodate small or large groups. The idea was to have multiple areas and settings to collaborate or concentrate.

Graphics and branding were used to define spaces and promote the workplace culture. In conventional workspaces, workstations with minimal storage and quality task chairs from Schiavello were sourced for their flexibility. Throughout the corporate design, pre-existing polished concrete floors were utilised, with carpet finishes added to define areas and assist with the acoustic qualities of the bright and functional meeting rooms.
