Bragato Research Institute is the first building in Marlborough designed to Green Star 5, by JTB Architects. As a Green Star Accredited Architect, JTB is well equipped to design environmentally sustainable structures, and the successful completion of the BRI winery is a milestone for the Top of the South. This internationally acclaimed research winery was a 12 month project. JTB proposed a Green Star rating to provide further international credibility. Environmental design initiatives include:
• Solar PV
• Rainwater harvesting
• Rainwater soakage to ground
• CIP (cleaned-in-place technology utilizing greywater recycling)
• Daylight harvesting
• Passive ventilation
• Highly insulated with Kingspan panels
