Broadline Lining – the vital ingredient to your curtains
Busy business owners from Christchurch, while both creative knew they needed an element of interior design expertise for a large transformation to their Somerfield bungalow home they share with their two young boys and pet dog.
“I wanted to balance this contrast with the drapes that dominate a lot of the space, so filled the colour scale from light to dark with this choice”
Anna Dick from Anna Margaret Interiors was engaged to weave industrial chic throughout the whole house creating a fresh and open home. As a busy family, the client wanted their home to reflect their personalities and creative nuances while offering a timeless décor for a growing family.
“The input I was able to provide gave them the freedom and space to make the decisions without feeling overwhelmed “says Anna.
Inspiration for the family living and entertaining spaces started with the beech timber floors that offered a lot of warmth and inherent pattern to the newly created spaces. A light colour palette has been applied to the large walls and paneled ceiling that is contrasted by a slate grey feature wall.
To soften the large spaces, window treatments that are both theatrical (3.6m height) in the main living room, while being suitable for the lower (2.4m) connecting dining space, provide an overall softness and resort style feel.
Open weave floaty curtains have been lined with James Dunlop Broadline offering a soft drape lining solution while the fabric’s soft handle and colour is a contrast to the front fabric. Broadline is a high quality 100% polyester dimout lining in a wide width ideal for living spaces.
The renovation was completed in August 2019 with happy owners who just love living in it.
