By TigerTurf
Summer evenings have become much more lively and fun in Clyde now that the Clyde Tennis Club in Otago have three brilliant new TigerTurf Tournament 1000 courts to enrich playing experiences, transform the club's appearance and bring fresh life to the old courts.
Swinging Into 2020 With New Courts and Lights
After more than twenty years of keen tennis, it was time to resurface the old asphalt court surfaces at the Clyde Tennis Club. After some remedial work on the asphalt base, new tennis net posts and three vibrant green playing surfaces set into a glowing brick-red background, the transformation of the club courts was finally complete.
LED Lights Turn Darkness Into Daylight - Essential Sports Aids
The addition of LED lights provides the bright light needed for those late evening, hard-fought games that no one wants to lose. More tennis hours to enjoy safely during twilight hours, and more Clyde tennis players getting court time.
Customised designs, including emblems and branding features within the turf surface
TigerTurf courts are individually designed to match our clients’ preferences. Although it is uncommon in NZ to have 100mm baselines, we happily included this feature for the Clyde Tennis Club.
The permanent white turf adds an eye-catching, fresh finish to the club courts.
TigerTurf Tournament 1000 is an excellent court surface for clubs and schools.
The club’s three new TigerTurf Tournament 1000 courts are durable, high-performance sports turfs that the club can use for club play, tournaments and inter-club games for the next two decades. TigerTurf also installed a volley wall practice area, so the players can keep their tennis eyes sharp and coordination fast.
The Clyde Tennis Club project brought the club and the TigerTurf construction team immense satisfaction in achieving a well-planned makeover.

- Made in New Zealand
We’re one of the largest synthetic turf manufacturers in the world, but we started in Auckland, New Zealand in 1981. We still make almost all of our products in our Auckland factory, with materials manufactured by our parent company, TenCate Grass. Local manufacturing means that we can ensure quality is maintained throughout the process.
- Experience and Expertise
You want to make sure the company you choose to work with knows what they're doing. We've been in the synthetic turf industry for almost 40 years, and have also been instrumental in developing the products and systems that result in world class, top performing surfaces. We design, manufacture, install and maintain our surfaces, applying the innovation and expertise we've gained over the years into every project - large or small.
- Accreditations and Memberships
Because of the quality, performance and realistic nature of TigerTurf’s artificial grass, TigerTurf is recommended for high level training and competition. Many of our artificial grass turfs have been approved and certified by world sporting bodies, including FIFA, World Rugby, FIH, and ITF. It's also ISO 9001 accredited.
- Quality and Innovation
We control the quality and performance of every synthetic turf system we create, in our own factory, at every step of the production process. We control where and how our yarns are extruded. We control which products go into our fibres. We develop and manufacture our own backing cloths. We develop, manufacture and build the performance bases that we lay our turf systems over. And finally, we can recycle our old, end-of-life products into new, start-of-life products.
