This seven storey mixed use development whole heartedly embraces its dynamic coastal environment. This building will provide high quality residential living above ground floor retail spaces, offering a welcoming, pedestrian-friendly interface.
Materiality is celebrated throughout the design with horizontal strata patterns drawing reference from the sandstone cliffs on nearby Takapuna beach, punctuated with natural stone walls. These geological textures are combined with weathered timber-look cladding, paying tribute to the classic New Zealand bach. Coastal vegetation species flow from the rooftop to provide a cohesive seaside experience. The building is capped by an eye-catching rippled roof that floats gently above, emulating the movement of the ocean.
