DNA of Design follows The Block duo Andy and Deb as they transform homes using their practical renovation knowledge and eye for design. In their first season, they set out to renovate a home located on the sunny Gold Coast. Originally run-down and fatigued, Andy and Deb felt inspired to take it from dark and dreary to light and bright, with the intention of turning it into a coastal contemporary retreat.
Andy and Deb’s vision for the property was to make it feel more inviting and comfortable. To brighten up the space, brass detailing and stone were chosen to complement the whiter tones throughout the home. To achieve this look, Andy and Deb opted for Iver’s Osaka lever in brushed brass finish on the internal doors. Being considerate of these cohesive brass undertones meant they were able to easily pull the whole space together.

With a design sensibility at its heart, Iver was a clear choice to add the finishing touches to this renovation project. The pieces are made to stand the test of time, with a range that suits for classic interiors with a contemporary edge. Iver’s focus on simplicity and considerate design lends to hardware that blends both functionality and quality – two important elements of this Coastal Retreat.
