Located in close proximity to the beach, this project involves 2 double-storey townhouses. The project was carried out for a new developer group that wanted to create a project that would help establish them in the property market. The overarching requirement was for a project that had an ‘out-of-the-box’ design outcome and aligned with the buyer demographic in the area, whilst delivering the expected sellable yield.
DESIGN
The townhouses are designed to be asymmetrical with a different design approach to each dwelling- giving them the individuality that is generally seen in stand-alone houses. This design intends to create a building that has the appearance of a single double-storey dwelling which lets the development integrate itself in the street which is dominated by stand-alone houses.
Both houses have 4 bedrooms, 2 living areas and generous-practical kitchen/pantry and laundries. There is ample storage within the houses for various storage needs. The living areas on the ground floor open onto the deck with semi-covered pergolas making the outdoor spaces more usable. Large windows, high ceilings and well-sized rooms and spaces make these houses pleasant and liveable.
The exterior & interior finishes palette is simple and modern with trendy interior features such as birch-ply panelling, flush-finished cabinetry, feature lighting and open stairs.
Edithvale Townhouses have a great presence on the street, a design outcome that is appreciated by local residents and given the necessary platform for the developers to commence their next project in the locality.
