Eltham College, a school known for its adoption of new technology and student wellbeing, engaged ODO to create an experimental space that would encourage design thinking, exploration and collaboration within its student body.
The resulting space provides students with opportunity to engage in a range of educational experiences: from trialling recipes and engaging in food science within the culinary space, to being able to 3D print, craft and test prototypes and ideas within the purpose-built workshop. It allows students to run events and creative discourse sessions within the flexible amphitheatre pods, as well as providing a space for study and solitude within the intimacy of the private booths. By experimenting with materials, technology and adaptive use of space, ODO were able to build a unique area that serves as a hub for the student body, and build upon the foundations of a creative community.
