Bringing 21st-century learning to a historic school building.
ClarkeHopkinsClarke worked with Chelsea Primary School to refurbish the first floor of the historic school building. The redevelopment has transformed four existing cellular classrooms and ancillary spaces into a combined learning environment for senior students.
The new learning environment features varied spaces for teaching and learning including a discussion corner with tiered seating for focused learning, group work, and quiet reading, a targeted teaching zone for intensive focused small group learning, and joinery designed to raise students to window level to allow a greater connection with the outside environment.
