Being the owner of a roofing company means you know of all the roofing products in the market - what's new and exciting! When building their own home, the owners wanted "not the normal" and wanted to use "new" technology to give the best finish. 

Euroline® Battenlok standing seam roof was chosen for the bold clean lines with a distinct character, including some undulations in the pan, which are a feature of the product. The COLORSTEEL® Matte "Flaxpod" colour provided the softening natural textured finish which sits easily in rustic surroundings.

The 17.5 degree roof's batten-lock system is less commonly seen than a seam-lock or snap-lock system more frequently used. It is visually appealing, set against the natural undulations of the elevated hillside surroundings. The roof of the house stands out as an exterior feature rather than just something that keeps the rain off.

On the practical engineering side of things, the house location is in a high wind zone which meant some special allowances were required, such as installing the plywood diaphragm ceiling and installing ply on the roof structure based on engineering requirements.

The owners have realised their design vision, without compromise on quality.
