As active transport increases in popularity, more design lead end-of-trip spaces are being created all across Australia. The team transformed part of the basement car park at 215 Adelaide Street Brisbane to accommodate the increase in cycling traffic to the CBD. Architect Arkhefield designed brand new amenities and custom Lockin Lockers for Challengers new space. With a retro-inspired colour palette, the lockers doors and end panels were finished in custom 2pac paint ‘Robins Egg’ blue with contrasting "Matte Black" code locks by Digilock. Above the lockers, Lockin created custom bulkheads with an LED lighting strip recess. And below, a combination of shoe boxes and bench seating finished in Laminex "Oyster Grey". I was tasked with capturing the cycle storage area and new amenities.
