Restoration of a 1916 Federation Semi in Marrickville, featuring original architectural elements and a new open plan living area that seamlessly extends into a covered outdoor space.
The Federation Semi in Marrickville is a Semi Style home from 1916 presenting two semi’s as a single federation style dwelling. The project involved restoration of the original features and creation of a new open plan living area at the rear. The line of the new addition continues as a covered outdoor living space – a weatherboard sidewall providing privacy from the street, a slot window drags in sky, recycled bricks from site stacked underfoot.
