Restoration of the Grey Lynn Library's historical Garlands, preserving the architectural beauty of this 1924 building while ensuring its longevity through expert repair and installation by skilled plasterers.
This beautiful historical building, constructed in 1924, is also home to the Grey Lynn library. Due to 88 years of exposure to the elements, it was time for some remedial work. Regretfully, some of the Garlands (decorative designs normally representing flowers, fruit, ribbons or foliage), had deteriorated and were in need of replacement or repair.
Accumen® Shapes Ltd remedied the damaged Garlands, which were then installed by highly skilled plasterers. These Garlands are embedded on the top wall like a necklace around the building.
