Hilltop House banner

This dramatic, award-winning home sits on the hillside of Maungakawa mountain overlooking Cambridge. The low-lying structure snakes along the ridgeline, blending seamlessly into its natural surroundings yet still making its serene presence felt.

The impact of this striking cedar and Eurostyle clad home is immediate as soon as you pull up to the front entrance. The moment you walk through the front door you feel enveloped by a natural oasis, a world away from the bustle of town living.

The breathtaking views are taken full advantage of from every significant vantage point of this home, with large glazed panels on all north facing elevations.

The muted grey/ greens and neutral tones used throughout the home create a quiet calm and mimic the surrounding native bush. The main living areas boast concrete tiled floors, customized timber fittings and accents of matt black lighting and tapware.

What the client had to say: “We love the way it sits on the landscape. Although it is a modern build it is so sympathetic to the surroundings. Such a comfortable family home.”

About the
Professional

At Turner Road Architecture we love a well-thought out design - one that meets our clients' brief and budget yet exceeds their imagination and expectations of what is possible.

Over our 15 years or so in the architectural business we’ve earned a reputation for creativity and exceptional attention-to-detail in all areas of architecture, from residential new homes to large-scale commercial design. But what is at the heart of our philosophy is our collaborative approach and ability to visualise our clients’ goals and ideals and bring these to life in exciting and sometimes unexpected ways.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
