A stunning farmhouse that harmoniously combines modern design with rustic charm, featuring exposed macrocarpa trusses, a full-height concrete fireplace, and carefully curated details for a unique rural lifestyle experience.

Hoghill Barn

Completed in 2016, the Hoghill Barn project for Nick and Aimee Ferner perfectly blends modern design elements with rustic charm. The stunning farmhouse features a mix of architectural double glazed joinery and exposed macrocarpa trusses, creating a unique and inviting space. The in situ full height concrete fireplace with a rough sawn finish adds a touch of warmth to the overall design, complemented by the macrocarpa barn doors that tie the look together.

From the acid washed concrete floors to the Colorsteel roofing and cladding, every detail in this project has been carefully curated to create a modern barn that exudes character. The combination of traditional elements with contemporary finishes truly sets this new build apart, making it a standout example of rural lifestyle design.

“With unwavering commitment and flexibility they worked closely with me on the initial design, build and finish of my new equestrian facility. Each part of the build process was clearly communicated and I was consulted with open dialogue and utmost professionalism at each stage. The equestrian sensibility possessed by Eloise guides the functionality of each area; Hugh’s extensive knowledge and expert approach to construction leaves us with an exceptional structure that I know we will enjoy for many years to come.”
