This project comprised the full design and turn-key delivery of a 4,000 tonne greenfield winery in Hawkes Bay. The fully automated winery incorporates both red and white wine processing and utilises Kingspan insulated cladding product to create a thermally efficient processing environment. The winery amenities include main office, meeting room, staff facilities and winemaker’s lab.
The project presented specific programming challenges with client design approval being provided in September 2007. Apollo’s programme management enables the design and construction to be staged with the onsite team pressing ahead with the building works as the process service components were being constructed off-site in kitset form. The achievement in completing the project ready for the March 2008 vintage is something that the entire team are very proud of—design and construction of the 4,000 tonne facility in six months!
