Sitting between the rugby field and netball courts at Lansdowne Park, Marlborough, the new multi-functional sports centre building provides much-needed facilities for all codes using the park.

Deliverables on this project included working with the Marlborough District Council on a brief for the facility as well as liaising with the structural engineer, the services engineer, and the quantity surveyor. Arthouse Architects worked closely with the project manager throughout the detailed design process to maximise the return for the council, whilst staying within budget. The facility features ground-floor changing rooms, storage areas, public toilets, an umpires’ room, netball control room, and tuck shop as well as first-floor club rooms with a supporting office, meeting, kitchen, bar, and toilet areas. These first-floor spaces overlook both the netball courts and rugby field below.
