An existing 70’s brick and tile house was transformed to create a modern, urban retreat for our clients.
The timber clad third level is carefully designed to maximise sea views, and protect the privacy of the inhabitants. The dynamic cantilever of the upper level is used to create a pool-side outdoor room, and a smaller shelter over the entrance.
The existing lower levels were re-organised and reskinned in a beautiful white, Roman brick, with tonal mortar colour. Our design was sculpted to respond to the way the family lives, with a series of entertaining spaces that string together. The kitchen forms the heart of the house, and links the existing pool to the sunny, north facing living spaces with views out to the ocean.
