A modern family villa in Little River, completed in 2023, blending Spanish Colonial influences with contemporary design for a serene living experience in regional Victoria.
A captivating fusion of Spanish Colonial and Revival styles, refreshed with a contemporary touch, defines this Little River Home.
This stunning family villa captures the charm and serenity of regional Victoria. Its overarching Southern Spanish design influences are reflected in the home’s richly detailed interior, while minimalist door frames offer a refined, modern contrast to the classical elements.

Conversely, the EzyJamb Inswing (pictured right) delivers an effect reminiscent of a hidden door as the frame permits the door to sit perfectly level with the wall face. This frame also allows the door to push in towards the corresponding room, leaving a spacious hallway visual even with open doors throughout.
Each hallway in the home carries its own distinct feeling—cohesive in overall style, yet varied in detail to create a unique sense of character. Door framing plays a pivotal role in achieving this effect, with different sections of the hallways distinguished by their selection of EzyJamb® Single Rebate or Inswing frames.
EzyJamb Single Rebate framed openings (pictured left) bring a clean, minimalist charm with clean line inset perimeter. In contrast, the EzyJamb Inswing (pictured right) delivers an effect reminiscent of a hidden door as the frame permits the door to sit perfectly level with the wall face. This frame also allows the door to push inwards towards the corresponding room, leaving a spacious hallway visual even with open doors throughout.
Classical Meets Modern
The master bedroom radiates classical charm with gold accents throughout and ornate cornices tracing the perimeter. A subtle double-door storage space stands understated against a soft cream wall, framed by the EzyJamb® Single Rebate (SRC). This space beautifully balances traditional detailing with contemporary design elements, achieving a seamless fusion of old and new.
The delicate balance between classical and modern styling continues throughout the home’s other bedrooms. Lavish traditional detailing is once again paired with contemporary door framing. Two doors framed by the EzyJamb Single Rebate stand along the passageway into the room, with a subtle 3mm reveal along each edge offering a refined touch that visually opens up the narrow space.
This effect is mirrored by the cavity slider opposite, which leads into the ensuite. The SlideSet flush cavity slider system complements the EzyJamb aesthetic, delivering the same clean, architrave-free finish for a cohesive look. When open, the door disappears inside the cavity, with its leading edge aligning with the opening jamb. When closed, the rebated closing side stile allows the door to slide past the wall and comfortably sit inside this space to guarantee privacy.
SlideSet also features in the main bathroom, where soft-toned wall tiles are paired with elegant gold accents, from the taps to the towel racks. A lively checkerboard pattern underpins the room’s creative and thoughtful design.
Boundless Imagination
The children’s bedroom is a bright, playful space, brought to life by charming farm animal illustrations along the walls. EzyJamb Single Rebate framed cupboards are deliberately understated, allowing the room’s colourful character to take centre stage.
In the children’s bathroom, natural light enhances the room’s vivid feel. EzyJamb Single Rebate frame is utilised here to quietly expand the sense of space and reduce visual clutter. Without the presence of architraves, the room’s finer details, such as gold fixtures and intricate tiling, stand out with clarity and charm.
Studying in Style
The study flourishes as a collector’s wonderland, with carefully curated trinkets adorning the desktops and rich tapestries lining the walls. This same olive-green palette and decorative detailing continues into the mud room.
The sense of luxury is heightened by the negative space between these elements; space created by the subtle door framing. This is particularly evident at the mud room entrance, where an EzyJamb Inswing (ISD) frame is paired with RocYork Concealed Hinges.
