Maraekakaho Residence
Clarkson Architects have created an integral language throughout this family home with a nod to mid-century.
Repetitive beams speak throughout extending the view of indoor-outdoor flow and to the extensive views well beyond.
Quattro uno’s goals are always to read the building perceived and thoughtfully engage to build upon the language already spoken.
Smoked oak veneer was selected to sit confidently as a backdrop for the kitchen and scullery and extend beyond into the living space anchoring the rhythm of the beams within it and assist merging the exterior materials through into the entry and kitchen.
The islands form, again strong and confident exudes light and life, and tactile to touch. Warm copper finishes have been selected minimally throughout adding a touch of warmth and sophistication, bejewelling the strong clean forms.
