MCM Performance Bar is located on Level 3, of the newly completed Melbourne University Faculty of Fine Arts and Music building, the bar will cater for large group bookings and events at Hanson Dyer Hall with up to 400 patrons. Concept Black’s design approach is a play on the proportions and scale of the interior of musical instruments. Light illuminates the bar’s gentle curves, reminiscent of an instrument’s hollow belly. We created a sequence of lighting glow & glitter effects using 220 pieces of individual tubes and 70 light sources at varying heights and sizes.

About the
Professional

Good design is more than just visual aesthetics. It is the way we create spaces and use objects in everyday life.

Our design philosophy encompasses lifestyle aspirations from a modern interpretation of traditional values, including art and culture.

We create spaces through human connection - interpreting people’s experiences and desires, then elaborating on these notions to create authentic and tangible spaces.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
