A grand expansion of a classic Mt Eden villa, blending timeless Edwardian design with modern living, featuring restored original elements, a new master suite, generous garage, and extensive landscaping including a pool.
We were appointed by a reputable Engineer to restore his gracious but tired family home. Commanding sweeping city views from its grandstand Mt Eden ridge position, the home had been subjected to an unsympathetic renovation back in the 1990's. The brief was to strip her back to reveal the classic beauty beneath.
Original features like pressed metal ceilings and wide hallways were preserved and restored. New replica joinery and a sweeping verandah was installed to replace original period features. A new upper master-suite, generous double garage and extensive landscaping, including a pool, completed the works.
This stunning home now blends next-generation living with the timeless design ethos of the Edwardian villa era 1901-1910.
