The client had a dated kidney shaped pool area and wanted to modernise the shape by modifying the existing structure of the pool. The paving and pool surround also needed a face lift to match the clean modern lines of the adjacent new deck and recently created outdoor area. They also required the pool and area to be low maintenance. The design requirements were for simple clean lines in the design, with close attention to detail as the Client appreciated quality finishing and has a fine eye for detail. They also required that the space had no clutter and was low maintenance. The design intent was to recreate an existing pool, to give it a modern facelift to match with the rest of the outdoor area. The most important design intervention was to change the shape of the pool to a simple rectangle, with clean lines in the tiling pattern and surrounding paving area. This helped us to achieve the clients brief of simple clean lines. A minimalist approach was taken to materials and elements within the design to help us fulfil the client brief. We used artificial grass and limited planting areas to ensure that the design was low maintenance. Attention to finishing and detail throughout the construction process was what brought this simple modern design to life. The client had fine eye for detail, was great to work with and appreciated our attention to detail with the alignment and finishing of each element which is important in a smaller space. Artificial lawn was used throughout the back of the property to reduce the maintenance required. The pool was also designed with Auckland inground pool to have all the bells and whistles keep the pool low maintenance.

The company deals equally with residential and commercial clients. We are a family business and believe in building lasting relationships with our customers from the start. Our landscaping family consists of professional landscapers and project managers with credible, practical experience and a number of landscape apprentices who are at varying stages of their apprenticeship. We have an in-house design team that will present you with a landscaping plan after visiting your site, listening to your ideas and bringing fantastic landscaping solutions for your outdoor space.

At our yard we have built a showroom where our designers can guide you in what materials would best fit your project, e.g. paving, decking, lighting etc. You can also provide an existing plan to quote your project from and then we will guide you through the landscaping works from start to finish. Luijten Landscaping has a nursery that enables us to provide a large selection of the highest quality plants.
