Working with Inhouse Construction in Palmerston North, we constructed these stairs from recycled ironbark timber. The timber was sourced from the old Lyttleton Wharf and was chosen by the clients for its dark and rustic look.
Each component - the stairs, handrails, and balustrades was manufactured in the Craftbuilt factory and installed on site.
Made from very strong hardwood timber, the ironbark did some damage to the woodworking machinery but will provide this home with a beautiful staircase that lasts for generations.
“Top marks to the team at Craftbuilt – we had our solid, recycled Iron-Bark staircase completed on time and exactly the look we wanted. From the onset, Simon has been excellent to work with, from design, colour/timber samples, sourcing recycled timber from the once used Lyttelton Wharf to completion.
This job involved communicating with other tradies e.g stonemasons, tilers, decorators which Simon and the team made this all come together seamlessly.
We are 100% happy with the excellent workmanship and quality of the stairs!!”
